25th Anniversary
How did La Ponderosa come to life?

25 years ago there were no shops, Torrevieja downtown was the closest option for retail therapy.
Hence the idea was born for a shop where beautiful decorations and gifts could be found, in La Zenia of all places, we were told this is a crazy thought, there are no people in this area, needless to say things came to life quickly.
The shop originally was of a rustic design with wooden floors, terracotta colors on the walls, with a little tea and wine bar for the gentleman to relax while the ladies browsed.
The name La Ponderosa came to life from Tanja, our original team member and my Dad, this felt like a good omen, same name from two people with the same thought, the name originally comes from the Bonanza TV show, a western some of you might remember.
The la Ponderosa team, Tanja who has been a valued member from day one and Jess who has been with us for seven years, thank you for your dedication, your positivity, your energy and your love for what we do.
